ABOUT OUR BOAT PLANS

Most all of our boat plans have been rescued from oblivion and are fully restored by modern computer technology, our mission is to restore these vintage plans so that this boat building technology from the past is not lost to posterity.

Nearly all of them are for building boats made of wood so the backyard boat builder will find them easy to construct with simple woodworking tools. There is one or two boats that, believe it or not, are made of Ferro cement and are very cheap to build. And one is steel!

Many of these plans are classic and no longer available to the public, taken from old time boat building books and magazines. Some go as far back as 1933 when wooden boats were in their heyday. Old time boats such as dories, cat boats, schooners, classic speed boats, paddlewheel boats, river boats, cabin cruisers, canoes and kayaks, duck boats, bass boats, and many other too numerous to mention.

We change our listings from time to time so make sure that you keep checking back. You are bound to find a boat or two that you are looking for and just “gotta build!”
